1918
This momentous year marked the end of the First
World War and the outbreak of the Spanish
‘Flu Pandemic‘, which claimed more lives than the
war itself.
I have tried to address not only the losses
engendered by the war but also personal
tragedies associated with the home-comings.
This body of work combines print and stitch and
includes soft sculptures of 1918 ‘flu viruses'.
